Is your health on the right course?

Anthony Ciccaglione, M.D. Is your health on the right course?

Most of us, in our 20’s and 30’s, generally don’t think about disease.  We are in good general health, and think that health issues are in the distant future.

Not true! Many lifestyle factors contribute to the leading causes of death: cancer, diabetes, lung disease, heart disease, and hypertension.  Most of these are preventable, if we’re attentive to our choices.

Employers customarily ask their employees for annual health screenings, and some offer incentives to those in compliance. Most insurances will cover annual preventive exams. Cholesterol and glucose screenings, along with routine blood pressure checks are valuable tools to help keep you on track. Healthy lifestyle choices, if made now, could keep you in good health for the next 20 years.

Isn’t it time to get your health on the right track?
